Wanting a swag pool table light...?
I am wanting to buy my dad a new swag pool table light for Christmas because the one he had for nearly 20 years finally bit the dust. Having trouble finding a swag light. Most are hanging lights that I will have to wire into the ceiling, or have beer logos, which he hates. I found one I think he would be happy with, and it says it will plug in instead of hard wire if you have the proper adapter. I just don't know what kind of adapter we're talking about here. I found a "swag light kit" and I was wondering if anyone could tell me if this is what I need to keep from having to install it into the ceiling. And if not, what kind of adapter do I need to look for?

You can get what you need for this light at most hardware stores. This is basically the style of pool light that I have. At the end of the power cord, you will find two exposed copper wires. What you need to get is a plug in adapter cord that has two exposed copper wires on one end and a standard plug-in on the other. Then you just twist the wires onto their counterparts and cover the connections with electric tape. Then you simply plug the light into any standard outlet. It's actually really easy when you see it in front of you. On an additional note, make sure you use fluorescent bulbs in the pool light. It really looks a lot better than incandescent. In fact, it's about the only thing fluorescent bulbs are really good for.
